# Geofence creation

To create a new geofence, click the "New geofence" button in the upper right corner of the geofences list page.

Creating a geofence includes the following steps:

* Step 1. General information

At the first stage, you need to set the general parameters of the geofence.

* Step 2. Geography

At this stage, it is necessary to select geographical objects to which the geofence will be applied or draw the geofence on the map. You can select the following objects: a country, region, city.

* Step 3. Schedule

At this stage, it is necessary to specify the time intervals for the operation of the geofence. By default, the geofence is open 24/7. To select a different time period, turn off the 24/7 slider.

In the opened window select the necessary days of the week, to do this, turn on the slider.

By default, the geofence works "All day". To select a specific time period, turn off the "All day" slider and click "Add time period".

* Step 4. Composition

At this stage, you need to select the vehicles to which the geofence will belong and which will receive notifications. All vehicle groups available to you and the sets in them will be displayed for selection.

* Step 5: Notifications

At this stage, you need to select the vehicles to which the geofence will belong and which will receive notifications. All vehicle groups available to you and the sets in them will be displayed for selection.

The following notification types are available:

* Entrance to the geofence
* Departure from the geofence
* Being in a geofence
* Being outside the geofence
* Approaching the border of the geofence
* Geofence crossing without parking
* Enable Geofencing
* Turning off the geofence
* Exceeding the speed limit

The notification settings window will open after selecting the notification type. You can expand or collapse the window by clicking on the icon.

The title and text of the notification template are filled in automatically.

You can change the title and text of the notification template. The text in square brackets "\[...]" corresponds to the buttons with the names of the inserted fields. Delete unnecessary text and brackets and use the buttons to set your own text.

Select the required channels of notifications in the checkboxes.

The following channels of notifications are available for a company representative:

* Event list(if you have access to mobile application),
* Push notification (if you have access to mobile application),
* E-mail,
* Report (history of events and generated notifications).

When you select the types of notifications "Event дшые", "Push notification" and "E-mail", these events are automatically included in the Geofence Report. If these types of notifications are not selected, but you need to view the history of notifications by geofence, then you must select "Report" in the list of channels.
